Origins
From bread to the browser bar
FINK Brot was once exactly that: a family-run bakery in Vienna's 13th district, with roots in the 19th century. Registered as a GmbH since 1979, the company has reinvented itself several times – from craft bakery to retail business to today's agency for web design, SEO and digital marketing. What has stayed is the outlook and the entrepreneurial thinking: work honestly, stay close to the customer, plan for the long term.

- 1979 Registration as a GmbH – the commercial foundation we still work from today.
- 2012 A new direction: a specialist retail trade starts up alongside the bakehouse, with branches in several Austrian regions. The same company, a different trade – grown without paid advertising, on search engine optimisation and brand management.
- 2018 The retail business is handed over in an orderly way and the focus shifts to digital strategy.
- Today Web design, SEO and AEO, digital marketing plus our own software and projects – from Vienna.

Does my website have to be accessible?
The act itself names no technical standard: where harmonised standards are met, conformity is presumed, and that presumption is rebuttable. We work to WCAG 2.2 – our own working standard, not a statutory requirement. Regardless of a legal duty, accessible design helps more people; it is not a ranking factor.
