Google Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Questions & Answers is a public section of the Google Business Profile where questions about a business can be asked and answered, visible to everyone who views the listing. Google states explicitly that the feature is available only for selected business categories and regions, so it is not offered on every profile. Manual upkeep of this section has been winding down since early November 2025: the associated My Business Q&A API was switched off on 3 November 2025, and Google is gradually replacing user-written questions and answers with AI-generated answers drawn from profile data, the website and reviews (as at August 2026).
In practice
First check whether the section still appears on your own profile at all – depending on category and region it was never enabled everywhere, and since the changeover at the end of 2025 it can no longer be edited in many markets. Where it is available, owners and profile managers should pre-empt common questions and answer them themselves, so that no incorrect or unchallenged answers are left standing; this works by hand in Google Search and Maps only, not through automation or third-party tools. Where the section is missing, the work moves elsewhere: because Google draws its answers from the profile, the website and reviews, the quality of those sources decides what customers get to see.
