Store Locator
A store locator is a branch finder on a retailer's website that lets customers find the nearest branch along with its opening hours, address and often current stock levels. For multi-channel retailers it connects the online presence with the physical shops and forms the basis for local visibility in search engines and map services.
In practice
Every branch page in a store locator should have its own indexable URL with individual opening hours, contacts and, where useful, the local range, rather than showing all branches only in a JavaScript map with no URLs of their own. Consistency of name, address and telephone number between the store locator, the Google Business Profile and other directories is decisive for local rankings. Where stock is maintained per branch, the same data can often also be used for Local Inventory Ads and click-and-collect notes in Google search results.
