Social Media Strategy
A social media strategy sets out in writing which goals a company pursues on social networks, which audiences it wants to reach there, which channels it maintains and how it measures success. It also assigns responsibilities and time budgets. This makes it more than a topic plan.
In practice
For most SMEs the strategy starts with an honest question about resources: who writes, photographs and replies, and how many hours per week are genuinely available? The most common mistake is a plan covering five channels backed by half a position; the result is abandoned profiles that look worse than no presence at all. One channel served reliably, plus at most a second one kept under observation, is realistic. Put the strategy on two pages and review it once a year rather than producing a deck nobody opens again.
