“Near Me” Search
“Near me” searches are location-based queries, typed or spoken, in which users explicitly or implicitly look for businesses in their immediate surroundings; this type of search has been a fixed part of local search since mobile devices and voice assistants became widespread.
In practice
Because Google derives the “near me” intent automatically from the location of the device, that wording does not have to appear literally in your content – a complete, correctly maintained Google Business Profile counts for far more. Regional terms in the body text usefully complement this, but do not replace it.
