EU Hosting (Data Residency)

EU hosting means operating servers and storing data within the European Union or the European Economic Area, in order to avoid transferring data to third countries with a potentially lower level of data protection.

In practice

Server location is a frequently underrated data protection and trust signal: it simplifies the GDPR argument towards customers and noticeably reduces the legal review effort for international data transfers, provided that hosting, email and embedded third-party services all sit consistently within the EU.
