LLM (Large Language Model)
A large language model (LLM) is an AI model trained on vast amounts of text that understands language on the basis of learned statistical patterns and can itself generate coherent, context-aware text – the technical foundation of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and similar systems.
In practice
LLMs do not produce answers by looking them up in a database but by calculating the most plausible next word, which is why they can produce convincing but false statements. For website owners, what matters most is how well an LLM understands their own content and reproduces it correctly.
