AI Hallucination

An AI hallucination is a statement produced by a language model that is factually wrong or entirely invented, yet phrased just as convincingly and confidently as a correct answer.

In practice

Hallucinations arise, among other reasons, when a topic is covered by few, contradictory or unclear sources in the training or retrieval material. Clear, unambiguous content backed by sources on your own website lowers the risk of an AI system spreading false statements about your company or your field.
