KPI Dashboard / Reporting
A KPI dashboard brings together the most important key performance indicators of a company or a campaign in a single, usually automatically updated visualisation. Instead of manually collating separate reports from GA4, Google Ads and other sources, it gives everyone involved an at-a-glance view of progress towards central goals.
In practice
In practice, KPI dashboards are often built in Looker Studio on top of GA4 and Google Ads data (as of August 2026), and designed differently depending on the audience: management usually needs a handful of aggregated figures such as revenue or ROAS, while operational teams need more detailed channel or campaign values. What makes a dashboard usable is a deliberate selection of a few clearly defined KPIs, rather than a collection of every available metric, which quickly becomes cluttered and offers little guidance for action.
