SERP (Search Engine Results Page)

SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page and refers to the page a search engine displays in response to a query — today usually a mixture of organic results, ads, featured snippets, AI Overviews and further elements.

In practice

How a SERP for a particular query is put together says a great deal about the search intent behind it and about which content format — text, list, image, video — is most likely to become visible. Regular SERP analysis is therefore part of ongoing SEO and AEO work.
