Easy Language is a strongly simplified language level with short sentences, everyday words and a clear structure that helps people with learning difficulties, limited German or cognitive impairments to understand written texts.
In practice
Easy Language should not be confused with Plain Language (Einfache Sprache), which addresses a broader audience and follows less strict rules. Short, clearly worded content does not only help this particular group: experience shows it also makes texts easier for AI summaries and for hurried readers in general.
